To a certain level, it is – this can help you organise a method where you can improve your rhythm easily following the written patterns. If I give you an analogy as an example: it is hard to get around London without a map even for Londoners, right – is it hard to play music without that map (music score)?

So once you have that map and know how to read it, then you can get around the city without looking at the map, that’s the way it works with music.
